Pee Pee in the Potty!

Image
Well, today was the first day that we have started potty training with Kylee. I've been so nervous to start mostly because I'm so scared because I have absolutely no idea what is the right way or wronng way of doing it. I've read a lot of articles and have talked to some friends and it seems that everyone has their own method that has worked with their children and it doesn't seem like there is one magical way of working for everyone. The main thing is that everyone and every article said not to rush it and that they will give you signs that they are ready. Kylee has been giving us all sorts of signs and we've been the ones dragging our feet....which is weird because with two in diapers we are very anxious to get at least one of them out of diapers. ANYWAY.... Today was the day. I really didn't expect much - figured we would have lots of accidents and thought I'd be lucky to have her sit on the potty for more than a couple of seconds. We bought the po...

Work :-)

So, we thought we would have to wait another 14 years or so before Kylee got her 1st job but apparantly she is already employed somewhere. Not quite sure what type of job she is going to dressed like this but she put all of this on ALL BY HERSELF and when we asked her where she was going, she said "I go to work" she waved good-bye to us and headed to the door. She did ask her sister to tag along a few times and got a purse all ready for Natalee to take with also. We asked her what her "work" was and we received several responses...."I cook", "I swim" and "I WORK, I WORK, I WORK"... so I think we still have many years to wait until she actually goes to work but she thinks she is ready now. :-)

5 Years of Happiness!

We had a wonderful anniversary trip to St. Louis this weekend. Eric’s Mom and Cousin came to watch the girls for the weekend for us and so we were able to leave on our anniversary Friday morning. We took 234 pictures so have tried to really narrow it down to a few for this post. We arrived in St Louis Friday morning and got all checked into our hotel. Because it was our anniversary, we were upgraded on our room and it had a great view of the Arch. We then walked down a few blocks from our hotel to the area called Laclede’s Landing. This was a really cool area, very historic looking. We ate some lunch at Hannegan’s, which was delicious! Then we walked towards the Gateway Arch through a very scenic park. We decided to take a riverboat tour which was really interesting. It was fun to get out on the river and feel the breeze (it was a very hot day). We learned all sorts of history about St Louis and really gave us a good start to our fun in St Louis. After our riverboat tour, we were ready...

Swim Pix!

We finished up the girl's swim lessons on Sunday night. They had such a great time during all of the lessons and learned so much. It was a great thing to do as a family. Below are some pictures from the swim instructor and the girls certificates. The picture of Kylee isn't the best but it is her completely under water grabbing the rings - so her face is a little blocked but it's a great picture showing her under water. Eric and I are getting ready for our trip to St Louis this weekend to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. Can't believe it's been 5 years already! Will have more to post after our trip!
