Going a little country...

I took the girls to the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead today. It is a beautiful farm where you can feed and pet all sorts of farm animals, take pony rides, go fishing, feed goats with a bottle and there is a ton more to do there for kids. The girls had a blast! We will be going back to spend more time next weekend when Daddy can come with too. Here are a few pictures I took while we were there - I hope to get more next weekend. These are mostly of Kylee because I kept Natalee in the stroller the entire time.

Sometimes you need to add some pink!

We had a lot of fun with nail polish tonight!!! It was the first night I've ever attempted to paint the girls nails and thanks to some tips from my girlfriends last weekend, it went great. Both Kylee and Natalee got their toes painted to match Mommy's.... it's so fun to have girls!

Girls Weekend

I had such an amazing girls weekend last weekend in Omaha with my best friends from high school. Of course I didn't take any pictures because Jodi and Candi both had their cameras and they are great photographers so you'll have to check out Jodi's blog for our pix. It was great seeing all of you - hope we can get together again very soon! Click on the below link to go to Jodi's blog http://ajemfamily.blogspot.com/

It was nice that we had such a good turn out even though it was hard on everyone to be there without her – it really is what she would have wanted. I know she was smiling and laughing with us the entire weekend. We started this tradition so many years ago and it has really been such a fun thing to do as a family and a great way for all of us cousins to really get to know one another. A lot of them we only see once a year at this reunion and its nice to be able to catch up and hang out every year. It was really neat this year too because both of our girls were running around having a blast with everyone there all weekend long. My cousin Michael’s son Dayton is just a few months younger than Kylee and both Kylee and Natalee had a lot o...

TAG.......You're It!

Jodi tagged me to tell 7 things that about myself that people may not know...here are mine... 1. December is my favorite month, but fall is my favorite season 2. I would love to be but am not creative or artistic 3. I love EVEN numbers and can be obsessed with trying to make everything even 4. I like KC, miss living in Denver and like that I was raised in small town Iowa 5. I love the Food Network channel 6. My Mom and I are very close – we talk almost every day :-) 7. I eat the same type of salad and yogurt (frozen – takes longer to eat that way) just about every day for lunch
