A Very Blessed Easter

Image
We had a wonderful Easter. We dyed a few eggs on Saturday night. Natalee had a melt down before we started but then had lots of fun once we started dipping eggs. The girls woke up early to find that the Easter Bunny had made a stop at our house! We went to Mass and the girls had so much fun wearing their dresses...they kept twirling and touching them. We then went to Brooks & Stacey's for a nice lunch and had an Easter egg hunt afterwards. Both girls had a lot of fun collecting eggs but Kylee didn't quite understand that the fun was to get a lot of eggs in her basket and then open them up....she kept stopping after picking up each egg to open it up to see what was inside. The girls had a lot of help from Dylan and Lexi especially with the eggs that were way up high. I asked Kylee when she went to bed that night what her favorite part of the day was and she said "Lexi"...she really liked Lexi and had so much fun with her. We really had a great Easter with fam...

Birthday & Fun

Image
We had a wonderful weekend, it helped that the weather was absolutely gorgeous here. We celebrated Eric's birthday on Friday. The girls were so excited that it was Daddy's birthday, that's all they could talk about all week. Kylee serenaded him first thing in the morning on Friday with the Happy Birthday song. It was a great birthday for him. We went to Dylan's soccer game Saturday morning and then I went on a much needed shopping trip for the girls. Kylee didn't have anything to wear for summer and Natalee needed a few things too, so after a lot of spending on an entire summer wardrobe for Kylee and some things for Natalee, I forced myself to stop spending and go home. We went to the park that evening and had a great time enjoying the nice weather and our family. We are re-finishing our cabinets in our master bath and spent a lot of Sunday working on them. (Sorry no pictures of those...will post some before/after pix when we are finished).

Fresh Air!

The weather here this last week has been beautiful! Finally it has warmed up and stayed that way all week, hopefully we won’t see anymore snow until next winter! Last weekend Eric was in Iowa visiting friends and family, so it was just us girls left at home. We had a lot of fun! Because the weather was so nice, we spent a lot of time at our new favorite park that we discovered when we went to watch Dylan play soccer. We even had a picnic lunch at the park on Sunday. It was a little windy but was so peaceful and relaxing to be out in nature soaking up the sun and fresh air! Eric’s birthday is tomorrow, so I’m sure I will have much more to post after this weekend. We are very excited for his birthday to come and celebrate what a special guy, husband and daddy he is.
