Shoes and Rides, Oh My!

Image
Yesterday when I got home from work, Kylee wanted me to take my shoes off right away. As soon as I got them off, she lined them up and put them on. I was wondering how she going to wear them since they were heels but she was a natural - walked all over in them - it didn't matter that they were HUGE on her - she LOVED them and felt like such a big girl wearing Mommy's shoes. I tried to get pictures of her to show how big they were on her but she kept walking towards me and in these pictures the heels actually look like they fit her pretty good! She is definitely a girlie-girl! Tonight we decided to take the girls out on a family bike ride. The weather has been so nice out this week so we've been outside a lot trying to take advantage before the HEAT comes and it's not enjoyable to be outside anymore. The girls loved riding behind Daddy and I think Eric had a blast taking them and hearing them shout "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" the entire way!

Special Pajamas!

My Mom had given me a special pair of pajamas that were mine from when I was little to pass down to my girls. They are strawberry shortcake and when I was little I had EVERYTHING strawberry shortcake so these were special. My Mom saved them and now both of my little girls have been able to wear them. Zoo Family Fun!

Image
It was absolutely GORGEOUS this weekend! Perfect weather! Not too hot - not too cold! We thought it would be a great weekend to take our little princesses to the zoo for the very first time. Saturday morning we arrived shortly after the zoo opened at 9:45 and stayed until about 1:00. This was actually a lot longer than I thought we would make it and we saw more of the zoo than I anticipated. I had never been to the Kansas City Zoo before and I haven't heard amazing things about it like the Omaha zoo, but figured it would be a good zoo to go to for the first time. All of the animals are really spread out and so there is A LOT of walking in between. We made it around to prob. half of the animals. There were a lot of animals out and then a lot of them that Eric and I could see but they were pretty distant so I don't know that the girls could really see them. We've really been going over animal sounds with Kylee and pointing to pictures of animals so I thought it woul...

Happy Birthday Eric!

Eric turned 31 on Thursday! Eric's Mom was here this week helping out with our girls and so she was here to celebrate his birthday which was really nice. Brooks, Stacey and Dylan met us out for dinner and then we went home to cake and presents. He had a great birthday!

HAPPY EASTER!

Image
We had a wonderful Easter! The girls woke up this morning to their Easter baskets and the Easter Bunny left all sorts of goodies. Kylee hunted eggs around the house this morning - Natalee was content just shaking the eggs left in her basket. We then got ready for church. Of course Kylee had a meltdown before we left for church - so our pictures in our pretty dresses didn't turn out as planned... There was and egg hunt after Mass and Kylee ended up giving away all of the eggs she found to the other kids hunting for eggs. We then went to Brooks and Stacey's for a very nice Easter lunch. Kylee had a lot of fun with her friend Elly. She wanted to hold her hand and walk around or just follow Elly around. We had another egg hunt at Uncle Brooks' house and this time, we managed to put eggs in the basket instead of giving them away. It was such a wonderful Easter for the Walter family - hope everyone else had a great one too! HAPPY EASTER!
