The Walter Family

We met some friends and took the kids to Weston's Red Barn Farm. We had a great morning feeding the animals, looking at all of the pumpkins, riding ponies and taking a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. These pix are far from perfect but they show just how hard it is for us to get a great family picture where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling...we'll take what we can get. :-)

Finally got these framed and hung above our bed... Kylee is on the left and Natalee on the right...how did grow up so fast from these little precious newborn pix?!

Since I liked the result of the refinishing project in our master bathroom, I decided to try it out in the spare bathroom. I have been working on this for a long time (many, many weeks....okay months) because I would just work on it when I had free time and wasn't rushed to get it done. With company coming this next weekend, I really felt the urge to get it all finished up and am pretty happy with the results. Next will be our kitchen and I'm not looking forward to that because if this tiny bathroom took so long, I can't imagine how long it will take me to do an entire kitchen of cabinets...but for now, I will just take joy in the fact that this project has ended and turned out well. We took a nice, relaxing trip back to Ida Grove to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Jenkins and also made a trip to the Omaha zoo. We had a great time on our trip but unfortunately you wouldn't know it by the lack of pictures we took. So these are the only pictures we captured at the zoo and they are also the only pix we took our entire trip!
