Tummy Bug - UGH!


The Walter household has been taken over by the flu! We got the call yesterday from Nana that Kylee was sick. She was sick all night long and then about midnight, Natalee started in too. Poor little sweeties couldn't even keep a little water down. We tried pedialyte and then went to water and then to nothing until finally this morning we were able to start keeping fluids down and slowly progressed through the day to some food, mostly toast, but I was pleased with them just able to eat something. We've done lots of laundry and had lots of snuggle time today. Nana called today to say that she got sick last night too and pretty much all of the kids at daycare had it plus a lot of elementary school aged kids have it too...so, it's definitely going around! Just hoping Eric and I don't get it now! We are supposed to go to IG this weekend for my Mom's 60th birthday party so hoping for good health by Friday!

The girls are so excited about becoming big sisters and are always asking questions about the baby. I read that this week the baby can hear us talk so the girls have been singing to the baby and talking to the baby. We find out if the baby is a girl or boy next month and are so excited! I had a doctor's appointment on Friday and the doctor said the baby is very active and moving all over the place. I loved hearing this because to me, the more the baby moves, the more healthy I feel it is. I have felt a few little flutters so far and can't wait for the baby to get a little bigger so I can feel it moving more often - to me, that is one of the most amazing feelings! So with baby on the mind, today, the girls came downstairs to show me that they both were expecting babies - Natalee with twins and Kylee with one and then a few minutes later - their babies were born!

It's Fun to Have a Sister!

I remember taking baths with siblings when I was younger and knew that someday my girls would get to share in the joy of playing in the tub with one another too. Although Natalee is still not quite stable enough sitting on her own in the tub, we put her in her bumbo seat so the two could play in the tub together and they LOVED it!

Little Mommy

Apparantly Kylee has been paying very close attention to Mommy. This morning I was getting my pump out and Kylee ran over, grabbed the shields and did this...she'll make a good Mommy someday.
