Christmas!!!

Christmas was hard this year with the passing of my Granny but we still managed to have a nice Christmas spent with lots of family bonding. We headed to IG for Christmas and tried to beat the terrible weather. Of course we came the night it started to get bad and ended up hitting black ice and going into a ditch just a few miles before reaching our destination. Luckily, we were all okay and the babies didn't even wake up. We put the Durango in 4 Wheel Drive and were able to continue safely to IG. Then the snow hit! WOW - I think IG got about 23 inches of snow for the duration of our stay of about a week. It was crazy to see so much snow - it definitely was a very white Christmas. We were able to go to Christmas Mass on Christmas Eve (although Eric and I divided up Mass by taking Kylee to the basement, she was not really interested in being quiet). We then went back to my parent's house, had lots of yummy app's and then opened presents. The girls were spoiled by their Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles. It was a very nice Christmas. We woke up early Christmas Day to find that Santa had been there and filled their stockings. Later on Eric, Dylan, Kylee and her Uncles took full advantage of the snow fall and went out and played in it. Kylee only stayed out there for a few minutes - probably took us longer to get her dressed to go out in it than what she actually was outside for - but regardless, we took some pictures and I think she had fun.
UN-believeable snow! We went to Iowa this past weekend and it was C-O-L-D. And still had all of the snow plus a couple inches on top of that!
ReplyDeleteCute Christmas dresses on the girls!!
