Kylee is 2!!!!

Our first born is 2! Wow time flies by! I can’t believe she is already 2. It’s been an amazing year. She started off the year becoming a Big Sister! She has been a GREAT Big Sister and LOVES Natalee to pieces! She is always trying to help her with everything and loves to give her hugs. They are getting close to the same size and are starting to look more and more like twins – I’m sure next year it will seem as if they are. Only 2 ½ pounds separate the two but Kylee has definitely become such a BIG GIRL this year. She is very into being a “big girl” right now and would like to “I do it” for everything.

This year has been a whirlwind of milestones. All of them have been so fun and also kind of sad for Mommy because that means she is growing up. She started walking before her first birthday and not too long after she turned 1, was running. She has become such a little person and not such a baby anymore. She loves to be outside; in fact it’s really hard to get her back inside once we’re out because she loves it so much. It’s the first thing she wants to do in the morning, she’ll say, “Mommy, Daddy – outside?” She is talking all of the time and says so many new words everyday. You can actually have a conversation with her now instead of just talking to her. She also has an opinion now too. For instance, she will only wear certain shoes. It doesn’t matter that they don’t match her outfit and she doesn’t care that Mommy and Daddy have spent a lot of $ on all sorts of cute shoes that will match all of her outfits. She has just a few pairs that she likes to wear and that’s all she’ll wear. She takes one look at certain shoes and says, “NOOOOO Mommy NOOOOO!!!!” So, I don’t push the issue – even though her favorites are starting to look worn out – they are the ones she likes for some reason and because I’m wrapped around her little finger – that’s what she wears. Also – shoes or no shoes --- this girl loves to DANCE! The minute a song comes on the radio or we put a cd in – she drops everything and instantly starts dancing. It’s so cute! She will definitely be taking dance classes when she is a little older. She also became obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse this year. She started off only liking Mickey, but now she loves all of the characters – especially Minnie ….. and Goofy for some reason.

We are really enjoying being parents to these two wonderful little girls. Our lives have changed drastically since the day we had Kylee and it has definitely been for the better. She has had us “wrapped around her little finger” from the moment we found out we were pregnant with her and I’m so excited for the journey of being her Mommy.
